An altered stand for peace

23rd Stand

Hot today and we stand in the only shade we can find in Joseph B. Alioto Performance Piazza, near the children’s playground.

We’ve arrived early, because we are meeting our son-in-law and granddaughter here at 9:30. One of the ways we make peace in our lives is by being flexible, would you agree?

So last weekend, we planned a trip away and stood for peace on the balcony of the Mendocino Hotel, overlooking the cove. Spirit knows our hearts and intention wherever we are.

This weekend, we change the time, and when our loved ones arrive early, we abandon our stand to play with our granddaughter. How better to make peace than to share a sunny morning in the park with a carefree grandchild?
